Supporting Yawning Man on 1st September 2016

Sons of Alpha Centauri are proud to announce that we will be performing with our good friends ‘Yawning Man’ at the London Borderline (Orange Yard, Manette St, W1D 4JB) on 1st September 2016.

Yawning Man and Sons of Alpha Centauri have worked together on numerous occasion including the ‘WaterWays’ vinyl release series and their ongoing collaboration ‘Yawning Sons’ the debut album of which is widely regarding as a desert rock classic.

These releases will be available on the night from both bands.

This is first SOAC performance since 2014 and our only one for 2016 so we look forward to seeing you there!

Sons of Alpha Centauri would like to thank everyone for their support to the band over 2014.

In April H42 Records released the second "Karma to Burn / Sons of Alpha Centauri" split 7" which was mastered at Abbey Road Studios. Three different vinyl versions were made available and dedicated live editions was available at the Camden Underworld and Hamburg Logo performances.

Over the summer we hit the live circuit in London to support both "Karma to Burn" and "Brant Bjork" and we also returned our hometown for an intimate show.

We are also proud to announce that in November our side project "Yawning Sons" had the debut album "Ceremony to the Sunset" re-released on vinyl by Spanish label Alone Records. Three different colours were available and the red version is only available in the United States, yellow version is only available in Europe and orange is for worldwide! If you would like to pick up a copy then this will be available in our shop early January.

2015 will see us complete a vision that we started back in 2010. To complete our series of six vinyl releases including the most notably the "Karma to Burn / Sons of Alpha Centauri" trilogy set which we hope will be delivered our most exclusive physical release yet. Once the vinyl vision has been delivered then "Sons of Alpha Centauri" will conclude the first phase of the band and begin the delivery of "Phase II".

New "Godfather's of the Desert" Poster

"YAWNING SONS" would like to thanks all those who attended DesertFest 2013 to witness them perform with "FATSO JETSON & YAWNING MAN" as the "GODFATHER'S' OF THE DESERT" on the Friday 26 April. The amazing opening night to DesertFest set the tone for the entire festival.

To celebrate legendary "GODFATHER'S' OF THE DESERT" show a silkscreen poster on Ivory 180gsm card was printed limited to only 50 copies. The first 45 were sold at or immediately before the festival but the final remaining five copies are now available through the "Sons of Alpha Centauri" shop.

We have also released a new t-shirt designed by Seldon Hunt and silkscreened by Bourne Creative. This T-shirt is limited edition and includes custom backprint, sewn S.O.A.C. tags on charcoal grey American Apparel and is also available from the shop.

Yawning Sons / WaterWays Split Record

You can now follow "Sons of Alpha Centauri" via the dedicated YouTube channel. New videos have been uploaded ready to watch plus you can watch all videos from the usual video page.

"Yawning Sons" are proud to announce the release of their split record with the new surf rock project from desert forefathers 'Gary Arce', 'Mario Lalli' and 'Tony Tornay' called "WaterWays". The record will be presented on limited edition heavyweight aqua blue 7" vinyl featuring new material from both acts. The record will be released worldwide on Christmas Eve 2010 and will be available with a thick card gloss poster as a limited package in the Shop.

"Sons of Alpha Centauri" would like to thank everyone who attended the "A Storm of Light" show in October and are currently in pre-production for the recording of the follow up to their debut album "Sons of Alpha Centauri".

The "Sons of Alpha Centauri" split 7" vinyl release with fellow instrumentalists "Karma to Burn" is now available through the Shop. This deluxe presentation on transparent vinyl features an exclusive new SOAC track and Karma to Burn track "14" remastered exclusively by SOAC.

Sons of Alpha Centauri Supporting Karma to Burn

16th June 2009 at the Camden Underworld, London, UK. Show Starts at 7pm

"Yawning Sons" the new SOAC collaboration project is due for release 15th June 2009 exclusively through Lexicon Devil Records.

"Yawning Sons" is the ambient progressive collaboration of "Sons of Alpha Centauri" and infamously influential Californian instrumental rock band "Yawning Man". The record also features guest vocals from Wendy Rae Fowler, Mario Lalli and Scott Reeder.

The finishing touches are also being made to the split release with "Treasure Cat" featuring members of legendary hard rock instrumentalists "Karma to Burn" due for release August 2009. For more details on these new collaboration projects please check the new Projects section.
